Issue:

This is a land dispute with the characteristic opposed or opposite claims of ownership. Both parties claim ownership of the land in dispute through their progenitor. The appellant, who are the plaintiffs, claim ownership through their progenitor, Olakoru. The respondents, who are the defendants, claim ownership through their pregenitor, Osidana. It does not appear that the land in dispute has a specific name. The appellant describe the land as situated at Iyesi Village, Otta. On appeal, the Court of Appeal allowed the respondents' appeal in part. Dissatisfied, the appellants have come to the Supreme Court.
